What is Hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a natural state of selective, focused attention, and, even though it is 100% natural and normal, it remains one of the fascinating phenomena of the human mind. Our ability to enter this unique state of consciousness opens the door to countless possibilities for healing, self-exploration, and change.

Can Anyone be Hypnotized?

Yes, It is theoretically possible, as there is an interplay between the subconscious, and the conscious mind, similar to dreaming. Which we all do daily.  What comes into play during the hypnosis induction, is your ability to intensely focus, and block out distraction.  Some people who can not do this, often find, they can on their next effort. Some are more able to focus in an individual hypnosis environment, then as part of a group hypnosis activity

What can we expect during the Hypnosis show?

You can expect, lots of Audience Participation, lots for your audience to look at and the laughs are big time.

At the beginning of the show, after a brief introduction about hypnosis, Volunteers are asked to come up on stage. (15-20)

A fast paced induction ensues, whereby 2-4 focus exercises are done testing hypnotic suggestibility

This is a very funny portion of the show, illustrating how people can go “under.” During which time, some are sent back to the audience, while the rest remain, for the final relaxation into a deeper hypnosis

What follows is 25-40 minutes of group hypnosis where everyone onstage is reacting to the same hypnotic suggestion at the same time,  – it gives your audience lots to look at.

How do you get the volunteers?

The Show starts with a description, about Hypnosis, and Hypnosis shows going through the process of hypnosis, and what the differences are between, group and individual hypnosis

People are informed about the type of hypnotic suggestions and themes that the show has, and to only participate if they feel they can concentrate and block out distraction

Once informed, the audience members are asked if they would like to volunteer, and then come up on stage if they are selected to do so.

No one is forced to come up on stage – Most good size audiences have more volunteers then there are chairs.

How complicated is the show from a Production standpoint?

You need an area, where there is clear visibility for the audience members, and because it is a talking show, you want the audience close

Then 15-20 Chairs in a straight line or a “U” and it’s a plus, if you can have some gym style mats extending 1-2 body lengths in front of the chairs

A Digital Input Box, for manipulating media from the stage area

A Stage Monitor

If the stage area has good visibility, sound, and lighting, then the opportunity is terrific for sound and video production of the show, from a variety of angles. An option for a very large audience to is set up a live stream of the show, with some monitors on the left and right side of the stage, and located 1/2 way in the audience
